Welcome to Palm Beach

Palm Beach Island. It is the Grand Dame in South Florida, with a rich heritage that goes back to the Flagler's who founded this jewel and then the Kennedy’s and so many other famous people who followed. There is no other place in The Sunshine State quite like Palm Beach Island.

The beaches are beautiful and they are lined with older, oversized estates. Then there is more...Worth Avenue, The Breakers Hotel and a cluster of curated icon resorts that are established standouts. And of course, there is Mar-a-Lago and its role as the former Winter White House.

The homes are palatial, refined, opulent, and sophisticated in their own way. They are the highest priced residences overall in South Florida. A two-bedroom, with an indirect ocean view (maybe), in an older building, with some updating, could easily be $2.5m+. An entry-level home could be $6m to $10m+. And, if water views are what's desired, then the residence could be up to $10m to $45m+.

On the ocean, in a home or updated condo, it will be best in class, and at a premium. Shift to a west-facing Intracoastal Waterway location or views and the price moves to a lower tier…yet it can be more interesting watching the world of boats and yachts go by.....buyer's choice. Move just off the main avenues or a few blocks off the water and the price point will be lower again.
A bit too pricey? You can go to a younger, more vibrant lifestyle in West Palm Beach on Flagler Drive on the water. Or you can go to South Palm Beach, below Sloane’s Curve, where you will find 40+ condo buildings, and many thousands of units, built on the beach or Intracoastal, largely in the ’70s and ’80s. These can be nice to lovely if updated, between $700k to $4m+ (but watch-out for assessments & aggressive monthly fees).

There you go…let us show you the many ways to find your paradise in Palm Beach.

Apart from pristine cotton candy beaches and palm-shaded untraditional open-air shopping centers, this delicate city is a pantheon of real estate luxury attracting Hollywood starlets, business tycoons and barons of the political scene from across the globe. Rising to its rightful glory during the late 1800s, Palm Beach has since become more than a necklace of elite aristocrats but a fairytale-like destination where everyone can fulfill their “once upon a time moment.” Warm and welcoming, Palm Beach is known as the pinnacle of wedding destinations with exclusive resorts such as The Breakers Palm Beach, Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, Chesterfield, The Colony Palm Beach, Eau Palm Beach, The Brazilian Court (home to Chef Daniel Boulud’s world-renown Café Boulud) and The Ritz Carlton, Palm Beach hosting lavish affairs all year long. And with miles of enchanted beaches surrounded by warm breezes and the gentle lapping of the Atlantic Ocean, there is no better place to set sail for an afternoon on the water, indulge in a by-the-sand picnic or take a blissful swim beneath the waves. Between playful swings swaying over swimming pools to private beachside cabanas offering tableside bottles of champagne and rose, there is no better place to spend an afternoon under the rays, making this spectacular city one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the world.

Location

Palm Beach, spanning 18-miles, is the easternmost town in Florida. Resting on a barrier island, Palm Beach borders Lake Worth Lagoon on the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The Intracoastal Waterway separates this coastal town from several neighboring cities including West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. A family friendly neighborhood, award-winning public and private schools are located both on the island and in close distance on the mainland. Palm Beach International Airport is in proximity.

Iconic Shopping & Gastronomic Dining

And with a gastronomic culinary scene that’s five-star with white glove service, there’s no reason to ever leave with a profusion of charming cafes and sophisticated stomping grounds. “See-and-be-seen” restaurants comprise of Bice, CPB at The Colony Hotel Palm Beach, Swifty's at The Colony Hotel, Hai House, Imoto at Buccan, Ta-boo’ Restaurant and The Leopard Lounge & Restaurant at The Chesterfield Hotel. The Royal Poinciana Plaza, a newly reimagined shopping sanctuary, allows for an eclectic mix of boutiques and new-concept restaurants, located in the heart of Palm Beach in proximity to Worth Avenue. Spanning 180,000 square feet and tented by lush mint-colored palm trees, The Royal Poinciana Plaza provides for a chic shopping experience with fashion forward designer stores such as Alice + Olivia, GOOP, Hermes, LoveShackFancy, Oscar De La Renta, Saint Laurent, Stoney Clover Lane, Theory and Zimmerman. Bordering two central courtyards, shoppers can experience the epitome of the South Florida lifestyle with an exquisite shopping and dining experience like no other.

Prodigious Landmarks & Historic Structures

While residing in Palm Beach may often feel like an everlasting holiday in the sun, this small barrier island is also a guard gate to a kaleidoscope of cultural institutions, notable landmarks and private member’s only clubs that lend homage to its initial beginnings. The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is one of Palm Beach’s most prestigious buildings, first completed in 1902 as Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate. Today, a National Historic Landmark open to the public as a museum with guided tours, exhibitions and special programs, guests can tour the opulent and palatial grounds where the father of Palm Beach and railroad magnate, Henry Flagler, once called home. Coined "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world" by the New York Herald, this incomparable mansion is awe-inspiring and promises to sweep onlookers off their toes.

Mar-a-Lago, a resort and members-only club, caters to the crème-de-le-crème of Palm Beach’s elite, providing the highest privileges, unparalleled service and entertainment on the eastern seaboard. The epicenter of the island’s social scene while standing as a National Historic Landmark, this elegant clubhouse reminiscent of the regal days past has seen the likes of Bill Koch, Thomas Peterffy, George Norcross, Kennth Duberstein, Christopher Ruddy, Howie Carr and Bill Belichick. Allowing a maximum of 500 paying members, adding 20 to 40 new members each year, Mar-a-Lago offers the ultimate in exclusivity with an annual New Year’s party that’s nothing short of starry eyed and extraordinary. Membership includes the use of the formal and casual dining areas, Trump Spa and Salon, pool, Beach Club, guest rooms and exclusive suites, fitness center, tennis courts, croquet lawns and an internationally renowned entertainment series.

Gold Star Golf Courses

A land lapped by towering oak trees, lush-filled gardens and exotic flora native to The Palm Beaches, the expansive golf courses on the island are a passport to 360 degrees of natural beauty. The Breakers, offering avid golf players two courses, is a dreamy nirvana where everyone is transformed into a champion. Featuring the Ocean Course and The Rees Jones® Course, golfers can experience two undeniably different links that are equal in caliber. The Ocean Course is Florida’s oldest golf course, nurtured by The Breakers for more than a century. Located 10 miles away from the resort is The Rees Jones® Course which is a contemporary complement to the more traditional Ocean Course. Palm Beach Country Club also showcases a sparkling golf course available to members-only.
