Discover Boca Raton Waterfront Property

Patrick Meyer

Long revered as one of Florida’s most exclusive and luxurious communities, Boca Raton has always been a magnet for an elite clientele. Whether it’s the crystal blue waters, active community calendar, or bustling seaside, Boca Raton waterfront property lies at the heart of the Palm Beaches for good reason.

But when it comes to the Boca Raton waterfront, there’s much more diversity and uniqueness to the neighborhoods than meets the eye. Walk just minutes in any direction, and you’ll find a new world to explore in South Florida. That’s why we’ve collected this insider’s guide to waterfront property in Boca.

Downtown Boca Raton

Downtown Boca Raton tops our list because of its popularity, central location, and increased development in recent years. The downtown area has undergone a kind of renaissance within the last decade or so, and real estate on this part of the waterfront is booming. Condos and new townhouses are the types of housing most common downtown, but buyers are likely to find anything that suits their taste in this populous, bustling part of town.

There is a good variety of listing prices for homes and condos downtown, with real estate prices ranging anywhere from $200,000 to $2 million. The schools are top-notch, and you’re within walking or driving distance from some of Boca’s most desired beaches — especially Deerfield and Pompano. Downtown Boca Raton is a great spot for those without cars too. It’s easy to walk to dinner, swim, or just enjoy the sun on the beach, all within an hour.

Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club

Turning from the popular Downtown area, we make our way up to the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club. Here you’ll find the cream of the crop when it comes to high-end luxury homes. Since 1959, Florida’s premier real estate owners have called the Royal Palm home. For good reason: the neighborhood is just minutes from the Ocean, and the country club is the definition of all-inclusive.

Real estate owners in the club have access to it all: 24/7 security, a top-of-the-line yacht dock with a marina, a leading private golf course, tennis and croquet fields, and a clubhouse with a chef-inspired menu. Some of the nearby amenities include Mizner Park, one of the city’s most elegant outdoor shopping centers, the private restaurant Fahrenheit Royal Palm, and the once-in-a-lifetime experience of playing the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

Boca Bridges

Compared to the old-world charm of the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, Boca Bridges favors a more modern flair. Also a gated community, the real estate options come from around the world with a variety of Spanish Colonial, Mediterranean, and Contemporary architectural styles on offer. Homes in Boca Bridges tend toward the larger, more palatial end of the spectrum, with a number of 10,000-square-foot estates present. Though not directly waterfront, Boca Bridges is a manicured setting with man made lakes and ponds.

The private amenities available at Boca Bridges are hard to beat. A full range of sports courts, fitness areas, spa and massage centers, and sites for kids to play and socialize are included with membership. Nearby, you’ll find an assortment of cultural centers like the Boca Raton Museum of Art (one of the city’s great spots to spend a day in style) and the Boca Raton History Museum (check out the guided tour for a complete education of the city). Don’t forget to get a taste of the Bridges by sampling seafood at the Capital Grille--a neighborhood treat.

Woodfield Country Club

The Woodfield Country Club is yet another top-of-the-line all-inclusive club in Boca Raton. Here, real estate comes at a premium, but there are plenty of opportunities to invest, thanks to the great number of estates, villas, and single-family homes on the premises. In fact, there are over 1,300 properties. The real estate is separated into 20 distinct neighborhoods, all with their own unique style and lifestyle.

Woodfield has its own 18-hole signature golf course, which all homeowners join. There’s just about everything you need located within the club, including a range of spas, pools, parks (check out Sugar Sand in particular), and dining options. Eat out at a range of restaurants like the Skyfin Bistro for an Asian menu or Flash Fire for your choice of pizzas.

Boca Raton Hills

Next to Downtown Boca Raton but situated at a comfortable remove, the stunning estates of Boca Raton Hills are among the most coveted in the area. Its location is hard to beat: residents are just minutes away from Mizner Park, Palmetto Park, and the shopping areas that encircle the area. The schools include the highly ranked J.C. Mitchell Elementary School and Boca Raton Community High School. Raising a family in Boca Raton Hills is sure to be a trusting and multicultural experience.

The real estate landscape of Boca Raton Hills is varied. Listing prices fall about in the middle compared to the rest of the area, with larger estates outpricing the number of smaller, charming townhouses and villas that also adorn the neighborhood. The Hills has a number of shopping centers, entertainment options, and restaurants as well.
