Welcome to Miami
With limited waterfront land, Miami and Miami Beach went vertical with sky palaces and amazing towers. In South Beach, a lovely, very chic area then emerged: South of Fifth aka SoFi. Imagine the tip of the island, with the most amazing views of the ocean, the Government Cut (the Army Corps of Engineers created inlet), the Miami Islands and motoring yachts, cruise ships and jet skis. Then add beautiful beaches, SoBe vibe and lovely, hip restaurants and of course Joe’s Stone Crabs.
Our Favorite:
The Icon, Continuum, Portion and Apogee residences in SoFi, Prix Fixe lunch at Milos and Joe’s Take-out.
The Miami Islands & Star Island:
Al Capone, Shaq and The Miami Heat's best, Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Rosie, and so many other notables have made these beautiful islands their homes. They have an elegant, residential feel as you drive over the stately bridges. The gated island homes start at $5m and go over $45m+. Star, Palm, Hibiscus, Venetian and of course Fisher Island.
Our favorite:
The majestic Palm Island sunset and its welcoming fountain, and dolphins swimming by your home.
The Vanderbilt’s Mansion on Fisher Island:
In the 1920s, Vanderbilt traded his steamer yacht for a piece of land that once was the tip of Miami Beach, to Carl Fisher, as they played poker (and a $1). Today, it is just as exclusive and the only way to get there is by private ferry, yacht or helicopter. The Mansion, the golf course, 5 restaurants, yacht marina, etc is a now refuge for global billionaires and multi-millionaires. The once small Tiki Hut feels like South of France meets South Beach.
Our favorite:
Mrs. Vanderbilt's bedroom is now a member-only "Snooker Club" club ( & the bar is in her closet).
Miami has a wide array of areas to choose from. For example: Miami Beach's South Beach and the gem area inside it called SoFi (South of Fifth), North Beach, the Islands (Star, Palm, Hibiscus, the Venetian Islands & Fisher Island), Downtown Miami, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Edgewater, Key Biscayne and beyond.
Patrick joined Fisher Island and lived there and also on Palm Island. If you are buying in Miami, he is ready to help you tap into it’s vibe lifestyle.
